10. wicket of my LJ-Advent calendar and xmas wishlist
Ok ok, I know have forgotten the last 6 wickets.... but today you get a new one :D
An awesome trailer to an awesome movie! You need to see that. Especially when you like Gerald Butler ^^
And because I saw this at caysekc's and piecesfalling's and I had this planned for the last few weeks I actually post my wish list today *snickers* First of you need to know the rules to this whole thing:
The rules:
Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use-or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free-do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf-to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not - it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
And now my wish list:
1. I would love you to death if somebody could make me an awesome header for my LJ or maybe somebody could help me with a design for my baby. It should be all about Billy Petersen - cause I just love that man! :D - or about my baby dog (you can find pictures of him in my LJ under the tags "Sam")
2. Maybe somebody can make me my own personal icon(s) (with pictures of Sam, Billy, DJE or Dean Cain)
3. Some paid time for my LJ would be nice!
4. Can somebody please help me and tell me where I can get some Billy movies... I looking for "Amazing Grace and Chuck", "Kiss the Sky", "Curacao","Hard Promises",....
5. Some nice Christmas cards from all over the world would be nice - when you want to write just mail me netie [at] imail [dot] de
6. I would love to have a functioning computer... maybe when Christmas is over I can vet him a bit ^^
7. Also a nice job to finance my studies would be nice... maybe when I return from my Christmas break I will have some luck...
8. A good job offer for piecesfalling - she deserves it *hugs*
9. When you have the opportunity please do something nice - even to some stranger :)
and at last 10. even though caysekc and piecesfalling already mentioned it, enjoy your holiday and celebrate a nice an comfy Christmas with your family!
