Clarification

I have a friend and we have a back history of being close and also fooling around since I was a junior in college. I made no move to push us to dating and he made it clear that we wouldn't be. He would even tell me intimate stories about the girls he was dating, why they would great and why they wouldn't work out in the long run etc. Lately things have been a little different though.

He called and left me a voicemail of "I hope you're near a window right now and are seeing this amazing sunset,"

Is that a normal friend voicemail?

Also I didn't know if this was long enough to qualify for LJ-cut... let me know if it does.
