Halloween.  The perfect day for musings on... music and love!

If you all can tear yourself away from party preparations and drunken zombie revelry for just a moment, can you tell me some of your favorite silly, sexy, cheesy, or sultry love songs?

omg, you are making a mix tape for a LADY, aren't you?

OK, you asked for it: Sit back, close your eyes, let me massage your temples. Open your eyes, and....PSYCH!....Ok, sorry. Download this cracktastic shit:

Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By

It's sexy, it's weird, it's cheesy. In other words, it's kind of my romantic worldview. (Except for the necrophilia song....)

Jeez oh man, THI! Now I'm blushing at work!

Here I thought I was being so sly and nonchalant and not-at-all transparent...

Thank you very much. I will download as soon as I get home later.

Probably didn't help that you wore a smoking jacket to work today. Playa! :)

I'm gonna deal with this like it's a list... I'm not bringing them all together, is that right? Here we go:

1. Silly - all of my songs, which are all silly. Probably the song about wearing socks in bed is the silliest. You've heard my songs, you know they are all silly.
2. Sexy - Doris Day - A womans touch and maybe Teachers Pet.
3. Cheesy - see Number 1, and any Abba songs, but especially When I kissed the teacher. Love it!
4. Sultry - Do that to me one more time by The Captain and Tennille, nah just kidding, sultry... oh definitely Dusty, anything!
5. Oh they are all meant to be love songs... that's moot, all songs are about love. Favourite love song ever (don't think I'm a dag Psim): Throw your arms around me by the Hunters and Collectors. It's the best, just the best (youtube will provide).

What about yours Dath?

Yes I am old. That's right, someone's dad's fave song. The funny thing about it is that when the Hunnas and Cleckas were around in the eighties (they're still around, you know what I mean), I thought they were a bit daggy... but like Cold Chisel, they've taken a place in my heart. Funnily enough all of those male-oriented songs... I couldn't deal with them when they were younger, but now what I love MOST about Throw Your Arms Around Me, is that its men who are there singing along with it, it's just so blokey, so vulnerable and blokey. Wrong lyrics and just great all at the same time.

Hahahah, you are so so so transparent. Are you really making a mix tape? Will it have a hand drawn cover? Please say it will.

Van Morrison's "Crazy Love" and "Sweet Thing" - it works every time (on me)

I love "Sweet Thing". Like, seriously *love* it. My pants always seem to mysteriously disappear whenever that song is played.

With a heart and arrows! And maybe some crayon. And some interspersed text from tvshows you love. What? That's sexy. Oh, right, not so much.
