Please don't read anything into this by the way, I am not mentioning anyone who is known around here.
I hate when people so called "support" a team but as soon as they do badly they are like "oh fuck you, I don't wanna know!". The British media is bad about that, at first when England's team went over to SA there were so many papers predicting glory, TV commercials with people singing about England's prowess but then they bomb and everyone all of a sudden is like "Bah we never thought you'd make it anyway!" I mean make up your minds people. You can't have it both ways. Sure they played badly, but if you support the team you should support them through the highs and lows. You know what I mean? I think that's shameful. No wonder the team seems to have very little pride in playing for their country, no one seems to have pride in THEM. I mean, I am an ardent supporter of the US and Germany both, I don't see either in teh finals but have I just said "eh whatever, don't want you anymore"? Nope.
Also people who don't follow Germany anymore because certain people aren't playing. =/ I'm dissapointed some people aren't there *coffTorstencoffcoff* but why should I worry about it when he clearly isn't lol. And him not being there doesn't affect my enjoyment of seeing Germany play. I mean of course it's ok if you enjoy watching certain people in games, I do! But if you're just watching for that one person and claiming to be a fan, and then next time they aren't there and your interest drops, you aren't a fan tbh.
I also don't like this whole Lahm vs Ballack thing blah blah shut up. For the most part, people are either really pro Lahm or really pro Micha and can't see the other side of the coin. Personally, I think Lahm should retain the position but it's not my decision. *shrug*
