So I'm at work, and this one co-woker I have calls me over...
For some background info, I have a bit of fun with this guy. He's a huge England national team fan, and likes to give me crap about supporting Team USA. Which is fine, as I just give it right back to him :) It's fun to mess with him lol.
Anyway he calls me over, and he says "June the 12th, all the Americans will be crying!" and he's going on and on, and there's a few American customers around and they are looking for my reaction and I said "Ssshhh... listen.... US beat Turkey and Australia so PFFT!" His eyes got the size of dinner plates.
"Whaaa... whaa! How did you beat Oz? They're meant to be better than you!" he stammered. I shrugged and said that Team USA outplayed them. We have a great squad and we were the better team that day. Then he tried to say that we aren't gonna beat the UK, yeah yeah whatever. But he seemed geniunely offended that we beat Australia lol.
On base there's a lot of places doing events for UK vs USA but I probably won't go to them. I'll watch the game at home. I have no doubt it's gonna be some great football for sure. *still hope England chokes :) *
