Back from California!!
Oh baby, Erica is pumped. She is finally home and has no more plans for the rest of the summer [though it is only 2 more weeks til school starts and i can not believe it!] Anywho, I have much to talk about.
Last week was my birthday =) My parents got me an iPod as my main gift, but I haven't completely figured it out because my daddy installed spyware on my computer which automatically deleted kazaa and therefore i have no way to download music!! XO The iPod is very confusing to a computer-challenged person like myself. But yes, my parents took me out to Red-Lobster for dinner and the waitress was funny. She asked me how old I was turning and then told me she was only 17. My dad said she looked older and she responded, "Hahaha. If I were older I would be drinking all day!" My dad was shocked. It made my birthday.

Monica [from camp] sent me a card and potpourri and Radha [also from camp] sent me a handbag and hollister perfume. <33 it made me happy.
A bunch of our gang went mini-golfing and to the movies for katie's and my birthday and it was quite fun. I'll post pictures once they're developed.
Anywho, Chris came over the next night, and that was fun-- but he left at 11 leaving me to my packing and the next morning I had to leave for California at 4:00 AM. So needless to say I was pooped. But Hilary and I were troopers and our mommies drove us to the airport in the wee hours of the morning. They dropped us off and we went on the airplane for a 5 1/2 hour flight. The guy in front of us looked like one of the people in Whoville from the Grinch due to his bushy, pointy eyebrows. It was scary. What was even weirder was that he was looking on a labtop on a site about reproduction. We were reading over the seat and the first sentence was all about sperm. The Grinch-pervert was a bit creepy.
When we got off the plane we met Hil's aunt, Joyce, who was the nicest woman ever. She drove us to Urban Outfitters [my favorite!] and all these other fun stores. We went out for Chinese at this really nice restaurant, P.T. Chang's, where Jack Osbourne usually goes. We ran into Joyce's neighbor, who is a stuntman and has been in films like Titanic. He was Arnold-Schwartzeneger huge. We also drove past a fencing school where some of the Lord of the Rings people learned how to work with swords. We went to the mall and bought stuff, while Joyce got her nails done. The person that does her nails also does Jennifer Love Hewitts. Jennifer had come in earlier that morning, so were upset to have missed her =/ Then we went to their house and met her uncle and cousins. Hilary's cousin Rachel [10] is really cute, but has a bit of a licking problem. She would randomly lick and bite us, thinking it was funny. She told Hilary she tasted like hot-dog and told me I tasted like avacado??? Hil thought her cousins 10 year old boyfriend was hot after looking at his picture in her room. Pedophile? Later that night Hil, Rachel, and I had a drawing contest and Rachel and I made fun of Hilary's drawings. Rachel said to Hilary, and I quote, "I don't think we're cousins because I can draw and you can't." It made me laugh. Then we watched Bruce Almighty and Hilary and I fell asleep because we were jet-lagged. [Do not forget it is 3 hours earlier in Burbank, California]
Next day Hil and I got dropped off at Universal, where we went on rides and did shopping on the Citywalk. I was wearing my soccer shorts rolled over and on the line for the Jurassic Park ride some foreign older man poked me on my side and said with a heavy accent, "Excuse me. It is really none of my business but your tag is poking out of your pants. Are you wearing them inside out?" It was sketchy. We went out to dinner on our own [Chinese again] and then walked to go see Princess Diaries 2. It was cute, but the guy in front of us was quite annoying. He kept saying "Oh-mi-gawd!" every 10 seconds.
Next day we went to her aunt's step aerobic class because we wanted to try it out. Twas fun. Then we went to Taco Bell and drove out to Hollywood. We went to Man's Chinese Theater where all the celebrity handprints are in cement and stuff. Outside the theater were all these people dressed up as characters [such as Batman, Jimi Hendrix, Marilyn Monroe, Shrek] that take pictures with you for money] Hilary and I didn't know they cost money so I told her to get in a picture with Krusty the Clown. After I snapped a few photos, the evil clown demanded Hilary give him money. We had no idea what he was saying because he was mumbling so we thought he was like a crazy drunk man trying to attack her. Needless to say we were pretty frieked out and wanted to run. But her Uncle understood the clown-language and handed the man a buck. It was a weird situation. We went shopping on Rodeo Drive [where Pretty Woman was shot] but didn't buy a thing because it was all so expensive. For example, we saw a 70 year old woman buying a $2000 pair of shoes. Regular shoes, not shoes lined with gold or cocaine. She was very plastic-looking and it made us want to barf. Hil's uncle Larry drove us around to see all the huge houses in Beverly Hills and they were KUH-RAY-ZI!! He took us out to lunch/dinner at an expensive restaurant, Kate Mantilini's, where he'd spotted Jennifer Lopez on previous trips.
Next day we went to the beach and I got burned on my tummy. We had lunch on the boardwalk and ran in to all sorts of hippy-ish people. We saw a guy in a speedo doing tai-chi on the beach and several people dancing to weird music in random places. We went to this thing called the "Starlight Bowl" that night where this band [Captain Cardiac and the Coronaries] played oldies like "Twist and Shout." Hil and I went on the dance floor and got our groove on all night just because we'd never see these people again. It was uber fun.
Next day we went on the set of JAG [a tv-show that a lot of older people watch about the navy] Hil's uncle Larry is the writer/producer of the show so he got us on the set and introduced us to the cast. Uncle Larry's a pretty big guy there. He told us the first day we met him that he'd slept with Keanu Reeves. Hil and I were a bit shocked [and confused] but then he made it clear that they were next to eachother at some boring play and had both fallen asleep on eachothers shoulders without knowing it. We met the main character from JAG, David James Elliot, and got his autograph. He had a really nice ass ;D We also got a character Bud's autograph and chatted with him. It was rather cool.
We also got really good free food. That made my day.
Then we went shopping for souvenirs. Later that night Hil and I went for a long walk on their road and got lost. I was freaking out. We walked in circles for over an hour. We went to Burger King for dinner and drew pictures of Pokemon with Rachel at night.
Next day we went to this huge dollar store and loaded up on candy and makeup. We went to Quiznos [which is now one of Erica's favorite places to eat!!] for lunch, said our goodbyes, and flew home. Hil's mom and dad picked us up at the airport and now here I am.
I got my schedule for this year and so far it is sucking. I only have a few good classes. So please tell me if we share any common classes so I don't freak out as much.

Period 1: Spanish, Madzula [with Dave, Keilly, Erica V, Nicole, Sam W, Jill M, Rachel, and Jill L]
Period 2: Free Period [with Amy K, Alex, Jina, Julie, Darcy, Anne,Erin, Meier, and Nickelo]
Period 3: Chemistry, New teacher [with Alex, Jill L, Darcy, Julie, Meier, and Sam W]
Period 4: English, Hughes [with Dave, Tara, Ryan, Jill L, Kelly, and Sam W]
Period 5: Drawing & Painting, Dutchick
Period 6: Business Ed., Robelard [with Amanda, J. DiVanno, and Kelly]
Period 7: Conversations on Race, Brooks [with Amy K, Jill L, Nicole, Erin, and Sam W]
Period 8: Math, Wolfson [with Alex, Meier, and Darcy]
