News. Neither good nor bad, just news.
I walked into work today and into a meeting during which I was informed that the project that I was on was going to be cancelled.
Yes, there was some panic.
Then I was informed that it was going to be cancelled at the end of June.
Let's see here. There are a few points that the livejournal public should be aware of.
1) I hate my job, and haven't been on unemployment for something like 9 years.
2) I might have needed to put in my notice around then anyway, as I will likely be moving soon to a location that would make the commute even more wretched than it already is, and it is bad enough already.
3) I have already been turned down on the project there that I would hate, so the only one left is for a bank and comes with a 4 dollar an hour raise if I can get it.
5) Unemployment during camping season. (Yes, I skipped four. Five is pretty damn skippy enough to encompass both.)
Don't get me wrong, I don't really WANT to be unemployed. But I'll tell you what, if it has been ordained by the heavens that it must be so during 2011, this was the best time for it to happen, that's for damn sure.
