[His expression is guarded when the feed comes to life. Anakin's physical appearance (as well as his mental makeup) clearly state the air of someone who's been sleeping, but not exceedingly well. Even rest is impossible to come by. Restlessness is a whole other matter, however

[Video - Locked]

[It's been a long while, but Artoo hasn't forgotten the mannerisms of his old master. After checking the transmission filters, he twitters his inquiry of concern.]

[His shoulders relax. Somewhat.]

I'm fine, Artoo. How are you holding up?

[kick_astromech]

[He chirps. Fine as can be.

So he supposes Anakin is going to go...]

What would you expect me to do? Sit back, twiddling my thumbs, wait for the war to end, without doing anything to help?

[kick_astromech]

[Artoo squawks indignantly at that. Sure it's been a long time for him but he remembers full well how Anakin is.]

[thepariahed]

Exactly. [He sighs, moving to sit, pressing the palm of his mechanical hand to his forehead, closing his eyes for a moment.]

[kick_astromech]

[The droid gives a binary equivalent of a sigh as well before twittering. Well. Obviously he has to come along and make sure you stay out of trouble, now won't he?]

Of course I need you there, Artoo. I wouldn't have it any other way.

[kick_astromech]

[Well, he's glad that was settled rather painlessly! It's almost a smug-sounding chirp that he replies with, but he's rather happy to hear Anakin's response.]

[thepariahed]

[He chuckles dryly.] Don't get too smug, Artoo; you could short out your circuits.

[kick_astromech]

[It'll take more than that to short him out! The droid warbles inquiringly; so when do they set out?]

[thepariahed]

As soon as we get the order.

...You know, we'll have a team with us. [He gives a quiet huff at that statement.]

[kick_astromech]

[He's not too surprised by that. A reassuring row of beeps, after all, it wouldn't be the first time they'd have to work with others.]

[thepariahed]

It's easier when it's just myself and Obi-Wan, Artoo. [He may be having... issues with his former master, but his admiration for the work they are capable of achieving on the front line will never cease.] There's less to worry about.

[kick_astromech]

[Okay, true, he'll give him that. Less for him to worry about too, really. With another warble Artoo asks if he knows if Obi-Wan will be joining them.]

From what I've gathered, he's got his own team. [Which he is not leading, might I add.]
