That's a little presumptuous, wouldn't you say?

[ Not that Erik intends on letting the Sith win over them, but he carries enough of a tactical knowledge to at least see both sides to the conflict as well as how it's likely to play out. ]

I'm just not blind enough to believe the Sith aren't anticipating an attack.

Of course they're anticipating an attack. [He rolls his eyes.] They always are.

That doesn't mean we still don't have an advantage over them.

[ Fine. Let's play this game, Anakin. You roll your eyes, Erik will respond in a dry tone, switching the feed to private because the last thing you need is tactics being brought out in the open. ]

Arrogant, aren't you? To assume the Jedi and the Military will succeed with whatever advantage you believe they have.

I've been told it's one of my better qualities regarding war. [ His eyes narrow, pulling the scar on his temple to look more gruesome than it actually is.] How long have you allied yourself with the Jedi, or the Military? How long have you known of what the Sith are capable of?

[ Keep trying Anakin, he's seen enough scars to last him a lifetime, significantly more gruesome than it is, but Erik's demeanor is relaxed, baiting if anything. ]

Arrogance in war? [ He scoffs. ] Small wonder the Jedi are losing as it is.

Certainly enough to realize they, along with the Jedi have no place tossing the galaxy in an unending war. [ That question about allying with a side? Erik just answered it for you. ]

The Jedi acts to keep the public safe. [His lips pulls over his teeth slightly in something of a snarl.] We are meant to be keepers of the peace, therefore we are not truly a part of the war. [ But really, there were never any complaints when they needed himself or Obi-Wan to deal with something related to the war back home. So why would this be any different?]

Keeping the public safe is a direct effect of war, or did they not teach you that in school? No matter how hard you or the Jedi fight, you'll never obtain that so called peace.

Maybe we don't need all of the Jedi; maybe we just need one. [If he sounds somewhat desperate now, there are many reasons as to why. But he manages to mask that desperation with a trace of arrogance.]

Oh and I suppose you're the one to do it?

[ He picks up on the arrogance at least, because the phrasing of his words has Erik suspicious; why would someone bring up a singular person to take down the Sith? ]

I would most definitely like to see you try.

[ And there Erik goes, challenging Anakin. Because what he's learned about the Sith means a single man certainly isn't capable, however much he wants to be the one taking them down. ]

[ He has never been one to back down from challenges, no matter what the cause, or who the challenger.]

I'll be certain to save you a front row seat, then. [ His arrogance gets in the way of so many things. Like common sense. But when you slap the title of 'Chosen One' on him, what do you expect? Other than fear.]
