In fact, the live broadcast occurs conveniently after the X-meeting, so any people gathered at Charles' and Xavier's can gather around the old telly to react to it there.
A newscaster adds voice-over commentary to the image of Nathan standing in front of a gathered press conference crowd]
"Senator Petrelli has caused quite the uproar with his sudden return from the grave. There have been rumors and reports of other Outworlders claiming similar spontaneous resurrections - many of which are attributing them to Revan himself - ever since their first appearance here almost one year ago. However, Petrelli's very public face is attracting a lot more attention to the story - and he's called a spontaneous press conference exclusively here tonight, gathered on the steps of the Republic Senate building. Many are speculating on whether the Senator will address the claims that Revan is responsible for his miraculous recovery."
[The sound cuts back onto the actual conference, voices raising over one another, trying to ask questions, humming news drones buzzing overhead. Nathan raises both hands to quell the noise, before leaning forward to speak. His mannerism is earnest, something in his expression that's more natural than his usual political demeanor]
I recognize that you probably have a lot of questions for me. For all of us, as Outworlders, who have experienced the trauma of death, only to receive the miracle of a second chance.
But that isn't why I'm standing here today. [That provokes a wave of murmurs through the crowd, and he holds up a hand again] Because, to be honest, I don't have any of the answers you're looking for. How Revan did it. What he wants from us. Why he'd use this power to revive us, and not his own fallen comrades in battle.
What I do know is that my experience has made one thing very clear to me. We're not given second chances just to squander them. We're not granted any of these miracles, no matter whether it was... God or the-- the Force - or Revan or anyone who gave them to us. We were still put on this path, and we have the power to make something good of that path through our choices, which means we only have ourselves to blame if we veer off entirely.
I'm determined not to make that mistake. To use everything in my power to prove what we Outworlders stand for, what we're capable of, and why we're the ones who could help this Republic win the fight against Revan. Good men and women who don't even call this dimension home are heading out to risk their lives on the front lines. The time's come to unite, to embrace who and what we are, and make the final push we need to protect what's worth protecting.

[And with that, he'll just step back away from the microphone, and very slowly rise up into the air, higher and higher, until his feet are suspended above the level of his mike. There's another murmur from the audience, and he just gives the world a tight smile] I know that you're all thinking the same thing: that this is nothing but a Jedi trick.
[The smile moves to his eyes, becoming almost mischievous] I think you'll find we've got a few tricks they haven't seen yet. [And with that, he'll look straight up, and then take off like a rocket into the air. Once he reaches a certain height that's still visible, cameras scrambling to follow his movement, he takes off horizontally like a shot, soaring off to who knows where. The camera scrabbles back onto the newscaster's face, as she reacts with shocked excitement]
"You saw it here first, ladies and gentlebeings. Outworlder Senator Nathan Petrelli just flew out of his own press conference, after appearing to imply the existence of other such unique abilities amongst the ranks of the Outworlder population. Exactly what kind of abilities these are we have no way of guessing at this time. One thing's for certain, however: if this is a publicity stunt, it's certainly bound to draw attention once more to the mysterious Outworlder population."
