[It's been well over a week, so it seemed quite clear that Nathan Petrelli, the Outworlder Senator, was not going to be among those coming back.

But never discount the possiblity of a Life Day miracle, boys and girls B|

[Holy crap.

Holy crap.

It's been weeks now, but he's back. He's really back, and he's here and he's talking and he looks terrible, but he's alive and he's here, and she's currently in a state of total shock.]

Dad?

Claire? [Oh, thank God, she's alright. Not that that reaction is all that logical, but he still is disoriented enough to not know where he's at, and the last he knew, they were still all trying to avoid Sylar. And failing. In his case.]

What, do you have any other teenage daughters that look and sound like me? [This comes out more bitchy than sarcastic, but she's been really emotional lately, he'll have to forgive her.

She looks skeptical that he even remembers his time here, so she starts that lovely process of building up emotional walls so he doesn't hurt her further.]

You don't remember being here before?

"Here". [His eyes are drawn to that alien skyline again, and he shakes his head] ... Claire, where is here?

[And now she just looks heartbroken. Good job, Revan. :|]

Coruscant. You have to remember being here before.

[There's a pause, and she reaches up to rub at her eyes before she has a chance to leak all over the place.]

Being here with me before?

Corusc-- [The memories are trickling in slowly. Oh so slowly]

Star Wars. [It's not a question, just a tentative statement, as if saying it might make it more or less true] Revan. But that--

None of this was real.

If it isn't, I've been trapped in someone's imagination for a year now.

[But at least he's remembering, so that's a good sign. Isn't it? ]

I thought you weren't going to come back. Do you know where you're at right now? I'll come find you.

I think it's some kind of... medical center. [He warily eyes a robot doctor thing buzzing around] Claire, I--

[He resists the urge to say something he would probably immediately regret doing over this] Yeah, can you just... come find me?

I wasn't sure if you had already left there or not. I'll be there in ten minutes.

[And then there's a click, and indeedily doodily, she's there in ten minutes, out of breath and charging in the room. And she promptly finds her way over to him and acts like she's going to hug him, but then deters her course of action and hits him repeatedly on the arm instead.]

You left! You can't just leave me alone here! You and Peter both let Sylar kill you, and I had to sit and wait for neither of you to come back after a week! Do you have any idea what that's like?

[By now he's at least gotten some scrubs for pants and a white shirt on, and he opens his arms to receive the hug in genuine relief but then... gets beat. He just watches her, with a heartbroken sense of how what she's saying about here rings true for back home. Claire.

But here, he was her only parent - unless you were counting Peter too - and back home, that's not the case. She has her dad there, her mom, Meredith, her brother, Peter, a whole slew of replacements.

Just how much good was he doing as a dad figure there anyways?

He'd been ready to change all that. Turn it around and try to be something she could really be proud of, but now it was too late for all that.

But maybe not here.

He's about to speak, when something else catches his attention, and he gently grabs her wrist]

What do you mean, 'you and Peter'?

What do you think I mean? [She'd normally realize this isn't a good idea, and it's wrong to do, but she's all worked up and is no longer filtering anything that passes from her brain to her mouth.]

I walked into your office and found your dead body. [She snatches her wrist out of his hold, and clutches it close to her own chest instead.]

Peter knew it was Sylar that did it, so he went after him. At least I wasn't ever able to find his body.

[And now there are a lot of angry and butthurt tears, and she doesn't make any attempts to wipe them away.]

You took a long time to come back, Dad. [Okay, now that she needs emotional support, she'll hug him.] What happened?

[He'll just clutch her to him once she relents into a hug. It's a very emotional hug for a lot of reasons. He does not want to let her go 8(

Peter ;___; ]

... A lot happened. I... woke up back home. I thought this was all just -- [He shakes his head] All the memories were muddled up and I thought it was a miracle I'd survived. I wrote all this off as just a crazy dream.

It's been... almost a year since then. [Wait, a long time to come back...] Are you telling me Peter never came back either?

regeneracy December 26 2011, 06:57:11 UTC
[Sobs. A year? What's happened in that year? She'll just ignore that question and cling to him and not try to move out of that hug.]

You just came back, Peter might too. And even if he doesn't, you're here now. We can go back home, right?

Home...? [OH she means... home here. He forgot he has a swanky apartment.

And a ... job. Oops.] Uh, sure, of course we can. We can go there right now if you want. [Something else sinks in, and he fixes her with a furrowed brow] Where have you been staying?

I stayed with Erik and Charles for a week, and then I packed up my stuff and went to stay in one of Erik's other apartments, with Alex and some other guys. [She shrugs, figuring this is no big deal. Since he abandoned her by being dead and all.]

I didn't think they'd let me stay in your apartment since you weren't here to be a senator anymore. Do you think the rest of our stuff is still there?
