[Kurt isn't one to stay down in the dumps for very long. What's the point? His opinion any way. So here he is, coming across to everyone that wants to see this, hanging upside down. People from Earth may recognise a very festive looking hat on his head. It's a Santa hat, one he had to make by modifying things. But still, he's getting into the ( Read more... )

Froehliche Weihnachten, Herr Wagner, has it already been that time of the year?

[ Because it may have just dawned on Erik that he missed out on Hanukkah recently, what with the calendars being different and Lifeday being the predominant year. But you get a respectable smile from Erik in acknowledgement of the holiday nevertheless. ]

I'm fairly sure. I could be completely wrong though, the dating system here isn't the same.

[He may be Catholic, but he is respectful towards others and their own beliefs. He's in a ridiculously good mood, and still upside down.]

Who won?

[ And it may have just occurred to him he doesn't actually know the dating system, having been accustomed to the regular calendar back home. ]

Then how did you procure the hat, if I may ask? It may have occurred to me I've missed out on Hanukkah for the first time.

[ It's a bit of a melancholy topic, but he'll take the diversion and welcome it. ]

I'm note quite sure to be honest. Charles did seem inclined to put the odds in his favor.

[He looks up...down at the hat and then...oh. He was about to apologise, sorry that Erik had missed a celebration, an event, tradition...It's not Erik's fault.

He smiles more though as the topic is changed.]

Well, he would, wouldn't he? As for the hat...I sort of made it.

Really? It looks rather comfortable, I'd say. [ The fact that's Kurt's done something really does eat away, but he doesn't let it show. ]

Celebrating the holiday by yourself?

It's not itchy, that's a good sign. [Kurt would feel incredibly guilty and repeatedly tell him it's not his fault and that there was no way of knowing. Right? It's not set on the same day every year.]

Looks that way.

Would you like some company, Kurt? I don't celebrate Christmas, however if you're spending it alone --

[ Because yes, Erik may actually be mildly upset he missed out on the holidays and Charles hasn't mentioned anything just yet. ]

We could go for drinks if you'd like.

It doesn't have to be a Christmas celebration, it can be a holiday celebration in general.

And I wouldn't say no to company. [See, he's trying to include the other mans holiday in with it. Because who knows, maybe this year Hanukkah actually falls over the 25th as well.]

[ He appreciates the inclusion, not that Erik is as much of a religious man as the next, merely taking in the traditions but they hold no significance for him. ]

I certainly wouldn't say no to that, my friend. Company is always appreciated this time of the year. My mother -- [ He hesitates for a moment before continuing. ]

When we'd celebrate Hanukkah, my mother would always insist on having as many friends and family over. It would be nice to keep the tradition up at least for the season.

[He smiles and it appears to be fond as he listens to Erik. Then he nods.]

She sounds like she was a wonderful woman. Then we'll celebrate the holidays in general and have friends around as well as family.

That would be fine, Kurt. [ Erik smiles in appreciation. ] Any particular place you have in mind?
