[ Guess who's finally relieved to see you out of bed, yeah. There's the barest hint of a smile at the sight of her as he steps out of the kitchen. ]

If Charles and I had heard from them, I would have mentioned it. Do you want one of us to go with you?

[There are no smiles here. Only her nodding her head a little.]

I'll probably need help carrying everything. I need to figure out where to bring it all to, though.

[She can't bring herself to actually ask Erik to stay here long term, not after she's just hid away in his place for a week.]

I have a spare apartment if you'd like. It's the same one you and Caroline picked out earlier that I never felt cause to use. [ Erik shrugged, taking a seat next to her. ]

Charles and I arranged for a few people we know to live there, you're more than welcome to stay there as well. At the very least it's secure enough.

You really wouldn't mind me staying there? [There's a pause, and now she finally offers him a tiny, grateful smile.]

Who all is staying there already?

Of course not. Alex is staying there, and I believe he's invited Sean, another mutant Charles and I recruited as well. More than likely Charles will suggest the other mutants stay there as well, Rogue, Scott, and quite a few others perhaps.

[That's...a lot of people. She looks a little skeptical.]

Are you sure there's enough room for me there too? I'll definitely stay, since I already know Alex, but I don't want to get in the way of any of your friends from home having a place.

You tell me, Claire. You're the one that picked out the place. [ But he's not turning you down, because at the least Erik's convinced you need a place to stay than with a father that clearly isn't supportive of you. He normally wouldn't advocate taking her away, but Nathan and he aren't on the best of terms and as far as Erik goes, he's convinced he can do a better job. ]

Knowing them, you should be able to fit right in with Charles' students. [ Not kids. They're certainly not his. ]

[Her smile becomes more warm and she nods, knowing there's plenty of space for her there. She wants to hug him for offering her a place to belong, but knows he doesn't really do the hug thing, so she awkwardly sits there, fidgeting.]

I don't really know what I'd do without you here, Erik. You make losing my dad and Peter a lot easier, even if it's not actually easy at all.
