[ This is definitely not the first time Remy has found himself in a strange place without his clothing. However, he obviously had the sense about him to dress himself before starting a video feed. Someone stealing from a master thief was never something he wanted to flaunt

[It's the accent that interests her enough to speak up and respond. She's still brand new herself and doesn't really have any advice to offer him.

She's almost smiling, her expression caught somewhere between amusement and uncertainty.]

Don't worry too much about it. Almost everybody's hands've been all messed up here. I think we're all managin' to survive just fine, though.

[She pauses, looking down and away.]

Not that I've been here all that long yet.

[ Why, hello there. It seems that among the pair of twos and the ten he has already received, Gambit is quite pleased to see his video get graced with a Queen. He leans toward the camera as he listens to her reply before responding with his own. ]

Good on me for not foldin' just yet. Looks like my luck's returnin'.

Can't be all that bad here.

[drainings]

[She blushes, fidgeting her gloved hands together.]

Don't speak too soon, luck's got an awful bad way of changing on you when you least expect it.

[She shrugs in response to the last part.]

Like I said, i haven't been here all that long yet. I still don't have any idea how bad it can get here.

[ A smile tugs at the corners of his lips but he goes on like he's just playing it off. He doesn't exactly trust her but he felt an almost immediate drop in his guard when she commented.

Though he would play the charmer anywhere. ]

I'd tell you 'bout my relationship with Lady Luck but I like t'make it a point not t'talk 'bout this sorta thing with other girls.

Been here longer than me?

[drainings]

A week or so, I guess. Not too much longer. All somebody's shown me is a bunch of bars and places I wouldn't normally go, so I don't have much of a clue about the way things go 'round here.

[cajuncards]

[ Well, the bars can't be too bad, Remy hasn't seen those yet. But anything he does know about, he's sort of learned about by following other people's conversations. ]

What'd you say t'a partnership in gettin' a clue here? Never hurts t'have a partner, eh?

[drainings]

[She looks shocked by that suggestion, and bites at her lip, slowly nodding.]

Guess not.

[She remembers her manners then, and somewhere between her fidgeting, she manages to place a hand over her chest to gesture to herself.]

I'm Rogue, by the way. In case you were wonderin'.

[ Her reaction definitely puts the smirk back on his face. ]

Ca c'est bon, Rogue. Let d'cluin' begin.

[ Though, as nice as it is to get a name from her and as polite as it was for her to introduce herself, there is no way that's her real name so he's going to cut it there. ]

I was.

[ He leans back slightly. ]

And you can call me Gambit. Pleasure's mine.

[drainings]

[That first part gets her to grin, and she laughs a little, her cheeks turning even more red.]

Gambit's a real interesting nickname.

[She reaches up to push a clump of white hair behind her ear.]

If you want to look around together, I guess I wouldn't mind that any. But I've got somebody here who'd be angry if you tried anything with me, so you better be on your best behavior.

So's Rogue. I'd love t'trade real names sometime.

[ He's amused by the fact that she's already thinking of ways to scare him off with angry and protective guys. Not that Remy's scared or anything but he puts his hands up defensively. ]

I'm definitely not lookin' t'get anyone angry. Though, I never promise my best behavior.

[drainings]

[And she bristles a little, because she considers Rogue to be her real name now. It's just as much a part of her identity as Marie was, maybe even more.]

Then I don't promise Logan won't skewer you.

[Was that a joke? She's smiling some, but it's hard to tell.]

[ Well, upon hearing that name, he pauses for a moment. Logan isn't exactly a name you hear every day. Let alone a Logan who needs anger management with the capacity to skewer a person. It isn't that he's jumping to conclusions but it can't be helped.

After a moment's thought, his eyebrows go up and he looks at the screen. ]

You definitely choose some mighty fine company, Rogue.

[drainings]

[Oh god, did she just offend him? She better explain, and she does in a rushed manner.]

I saw you talkin' to him up there, so I figured it'd be okay to mention him. He's a good guy, but not many people but me ever think so. I wouldn't really have him skewer you, alright?

[cajuncards]

[ He gives a slight nod. It's still a little strange that she would know him at all let alone on a seemingly personal and friendly level. ]

We've spoken a few times.

It'd probably be a waste'a my time to recommend another friend?

[drainings]

Probably. [She agrees with a smirk, nodding.]

He's been really good to me, so I'm not lookin' to replace him. But maybe making some new friends wouldn't be all that bad.

[ Oh, there's a smile he likes!

Remy can't argue with that so he will allow you to keep Logan but only as long as you feed him, water him and change his woodchips regularly. ]

Then a new friend is what I am. I'd shake your hand but that'll have t'wait until our fated meetin'.
