[ Your accent intrigues Tonks. She's never heard anything like it in her life. ][ Of course she's just going to ask. ]

[ But for now, they're just going to have a little staring contest in their video chats. Her purple hair is probably more intriguing than his accent so he gives her a nod and a smile. ]

[ Tonks blinks. She smacks her datapad because the Narration is going to insist that there really was something written in the action tags! ]

Sorry about that... I suppose this didn't relay it but I did ask you where you're from.

[ Must have been malfunctioning wink wink nudge nudge. ]

I guess it'd make sense t'say I'm from Earth. Or'd you like somethin' more specific?

New Orleans, Louisiana. You ever been near the Bayou? [ You know. The Bayou. ]

Now, it's only fair you t'tell me your specifics too.

The Bayou? No. Is that anything like a bog?

I can't say I'm from any area that has a bog that's spectacular enough to merit having 'the' in front of it.

Oh, you can just call me Tonks. D'you have a name?

[ He believes you. He'd know if you were from the area and it doesn't take a detective to see that you're not. Especially since...you...just told him.

Tonks? Another nickname? He seems to be only meeting people who go by their nicknames so he's just going to continue that trend. ]

Pleasure's all mine, Tonks. You can call me Gambit.

[ It's her surname. Her given name is just awful, awful she thinks. ]

Gambit? That's an interesting name. Did you pick it or was it given to you?

[ Well, considering no one else has given him their full name, it's becoming quite the pattern. Not that he'd think your name is awful, he's heard worse. ]

Sorta matches my style, I'd say. It's more of a chosen name though I'm sure it helped that I'd been called that before I chose it.
