(o14)(video/action) ♐ krakana: it's what's for dinner
[ Buffy has her datapad out and is filming the ride back up to the Hakawa Islands from the Domed City of Aquarius. The usual suspects are surrounding her on the transport, and she lets the datapad get a sweeping view of them, but then turns it out the bubbly window to get a look at the sea life outside. There's a big shadowy figure of a sea creature, but it's too far off still to really make out. ]
Oooh! The whaladons are out again, guys, come look. [ She sets the datapad up to keep recording on its own without her holding it and moves to press her face to the glass, watching. A convenient delicate civilian who happens to be on the submersible with them comes up behind her to sadly inform her of reality. ]
"That's no whaladon. It's a krakana."
A can of whatta? [ Buffy doesn't get an answer, because the krakana seems to have noticed them. It propels itself forward with a terrifying speed, slamming its body into the submersible and rocking it like a hurricane well, more like an earthquake, really. Everyone goes flying.
There's a second shock as it hits again and panic begins to ensue. A few members of the group who can decide who they are start trying to calm people down while working out a plan. Buffy disappears into the cockpit to check on things and before long they're cresting the ocean and the sky is visible. But, something stops them from getting too far back up above the surface of the water.
Like an anchor, something seems to have grabbed onto the submersible and is pulling it down!
A giant tentacle slaps against the bubble window and someone screams. They're under attack! ]
