...You know, I don't think I've gone so long between posts in months. [Lily clears her throat, shaking her head as she smiles warmly at the camera. She's sitting at her usual desk, surrounded with various tools, bits of glass, metal, and jewels]We've had a great many new arrivals as of late, and I just wanted to make sure you're all settling in all

[She sighs] I knew of a Lily once. Her hair was awfully red... Filthy creature, had to be put down, you see.

You think anyone who isn't exactly like you has to be put down, I don't see what this has to do with me.

Hey, I'm kind of running low on money...and I don't think places accept pocket fluff. [He shuffles slightly and looks a little uncomfortable.] Could you...do that? Point me in the right direction I mean.
I can fight [Barely.] can lift and carry things. [Damn...what can he do job wise? :/]

[He gets a nod] There's a general store near the apartments that is friendly to Outworlders, and I'm friends with the owner - I used to work there myself. I'll send the details to your datapad and let him know you're coming. If you can't deal with customers, he can put you in the back carrying and counting stock - it's not a wonderfully fulfilling job but it's easy and it's money, and it'll keep you on your feet until you get settled.

[A small smile twitches on her face] It's the surname of the first female Minister of Magic back in my world, pureblood. She's a blood purist, I was hoping she'd recognise it enough to assume that I was at least halfblood, and not worth her time. [She closes her eyes for a moment]You remember when I said I have responsibilities to take care of, back in my own world? When, I'm twenty one, her master Voldemort is going to try and kill my son. He kills my husband, offers to spare me but I...I am going to elect to die trying to save Harry instead. And that casts a protective spell, ancient magic, so when Voldemort tries to kill Harry, the spell backfires on him. He doesn't die, but he does disappear, and it gives the Wizarding world thirteen, fourteen years of reprieve, andgets Bellatrix Lestrange locked up in Azkaban. Essentially, I killed her master for a short while, and she wants to return the favour, ( ... )

[that. is heavy stuff. he bites back the knee jerk reaction of joking around because he likes Lily, and given the shakiness well- it wasn't really the time to joke, was it? Ignoring the fact he deserved a medal for realizing this his replies, tone a touch a soft] Ah, that explains some of the pointed 'I have responsibilities' bit you have, especially your shoulders. I uh- that's... extremely unfair honestly. Brave, sure, but unfair. You're too blighted young to be a martyr.
[He rubs his temple] Uh, well, if you need a big, strong mage bodyguard I'm more than willing to do a shift or two. You know, good contribution to the Alliance- also if she comes by we can throw two fire dragons at her, how cool would that be? And they can be purple.

[She rubs a hand over her face, nodding. She's not going to cry, but she feels tense, tired and unhappy] It is unfair, but what else can I do? If I don't go back, her kind could end up taking over my world - the one person who could save it won't even be born. But if I do go back, I die, and I place the hope of an entire world on the shoulders of my son. [a snort] Plus, he apparently has to live with my sister. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I...I keep on hoping that I can find some confirmation that things don't change back home, even though I'm gone. That I'm somehow only a replica, and I can say here while some other Lily does what needs to be done.
That's horrible, isn't it?
[She pauses, swallows, trying for a smile and almost succeeding] I'd appreciate that, yes. I'm going to look into moving into a more secure location. I just - I hope she doesn't start killing innocents in order to draw me out. I don't ( ... )

Hello, Lily. I seem to be one of those new arrivals. Could you suggest what people do here for currency or supplies?
Name's Lion-O. I'm sure I can do you a favor, next time. [Nervous laughter.]

Hello, Lion-O, it's lovely to meet you! The simplest way to get both currency and supplies here is to get yourself a job - if you tell me what kind of skills you have, I can point you in the right direction.

Last place I stopped, it was sword contests for prize money, but I don't even have a sword anymore.
But there must be some skills I have that employers require. [He pauses here, uncertain where to begin.] I've only ever been Prince or King, but that includes training in all sorts of things. [Riding, swordsmanship, courtly manners, leadership. Prince stuff.]
I know a thing or two about technology.

Coruscant doesn't have any legal duelling rings. Or none that I'm willing to endorse at the very least, but I do know a number of merchants in need of bodyguards? I can get you a weapon - probably not a lightsaber, but there are vibroswords and the like that I can get a hold of.
Alternatively, you can start of simple - working in a shop, dealing with customers, putting away stock and unpacking it, that sort of thing. It's not glamorous, but it is work.
