[The Twi'lek shakes his head fondly] I am not going to fire you, Lily. That smile of yours alone sells more stock than the promise of Echani goods does any day! I would be shooting myself in the foot, and from experience I can tell you that is not pleasant.
[Said smile tugs at Lily's lips before being chased away by another frown] Are you sure?
It is bad business to say things you don't mean, Lily, haven't I been teaching you that? [He laughs, gesturing at his shop] Look at this place! It is in better shape than it has been in years, and I have you to thank for that. You have helped me with orders before; you know it is a rare thing for us to even engage in discussion with Echani traders. And I never liked that restaurant chain. If I were to let you go, there is always the chance that one of my less-scrupulous competitors would snap you up, and then where would I be? I think you will find more people who are concerned with making a living than politics while Coruscant remains free.
[Lily laughs in return, genuine humour entering her expression for the first time during the entire conversation. Impulsively, she throws her arms around the Twi'lek and kisses him on the cheek] Oh, all right. You've managed to convince me. You don't mind if I take the rest of my break now though, do you?
[Upon receiving permission, Lily returns her attention to the datapad. She notices that it's on, sighs, and taps the screen] I don't suppose anyone knows how to stop these things from turning on like this, do they?
While it's on though, I believe there's someone I need to talk to - Blair? I'm doing the decorating for Alice's wedding, I thought it might be an idea if we coordinated to some degree. Colours, if nothing else. [There's no sign on her face of any of the stress or worry she's been exhibiting ever since Draco dropped the bomb, but feel free to bug her anyway :'D]
