Die Nationalmannschaft bested Albicelestes and I watched it happen on a television, at a restaurant eating a food.
The National Team/home team looked weak in the first half, barely controlling the ball, but managed to prevent a goal. In the second half the White Sky Blues scored on a fantastic header, but then lost their defensive pep and surrendered a tying goal. OT was dull in that no one had any energy left and played conservatively.
The final shootout was exciting, though the second-string Argentinian keeper, who replaced the injured first-stringer, was no match for the Germans. Argentina's shooters couldn't keep pace, and lost 2-4.
In unrelated news, a budget request for streetlight renovation on my block has been approved by the Board of Estimate or whomever. Meaning new street lights! I wonder what type of fixtures will be used.
