Mmm, what to talk about. I FEEL LIKE RAMBLING TODAY.

BOOKS: I end up reading oodles and oodles on planes, usually while sitting around airports. I'm used to international flights, where you're required to come in like two or three hours before the flight, hence lots of time sitting around the gate just waiting. Recent finished Armageddon in Retrospect, The Raw Shark Texts, Rant, Snuff, and just started on Fight Club. (I wonder if I can hit all of Palahniuk's works over the summer, since I've already read uh Haunted, and I have Lullaby lying around somewhere too.) My opinions, in order: I've always loved Vonnegut's writing and so Armageddon was good, Raw Shark Texts had a great concept but seemed to flounder a bit in terms of driving plot forward about 3/4 of the way through, Rant was interesting, but the concept seemed to get a little muddled, Snuff was surprisingly very bland, and Fight Club is a little awkward to get through now that I already know the spoiler ending, oops. :'| All in all, it's an interesting haul that I've been plowing through. I'd recommend Armageddon in Retrospect the most, and Raw Shark Texts after that.

COMPUTERS: I've been planning to get a netbook for some time now, because lugging around my 17" behemoth along the walk to campus and back was hell. And Toshiba recently released a little mini notebook that got amazing reviews, so I snapped it up, just in time for my summer class starting tomorrow (AUUUUUUGH). It's the NB205, and it works really great so far. c: (After a little adventure) I got a 2GB RAM card installed properly, and it's my speedy little baby. I'm considering also installing some more RAM in my hulking large chap, since he's at 2GB and probably could use the boost up to 4GB what with me constantly swapping between Adobe programs and making him double over wheezing.

My two compies, the Toshiba siblings. :D The big one's Paso-kun, a Satellite P105 and starting to get somewhat scuffled up with age, always tired because I keep him on so much. And Kona-chan is the sparkly new little princess. I drew this in between scrabbling at other stuff, sort of as warm-up-and-a-break.

ART: SO MANY THINGS I WANT TO DO. ): (Pssst, guys, check out today's page, I'm kinda proud of how that top panel turned out. c:) I'm still scrambling to see if I can get my stuff in for the auditions to this OC comics tournament, because I think it would be a good challenge (and a nice opportunity to self promote, ahur hur) if I got in. But the recent DMWL community fanworks contest also pings my interest, and I kind of want to do a series of drabbles with little doodles scattered through, so -- idk. (YOU GUYS SHOULD DO IT THOUGH. /stares forever) We'll see how much I can do while taking that summer course and still going to work. :'|

tl;dr my life is okay, i should go tend to the mountain of stuff waiting for me.
