Am I the only one who thinks about time dilation when they're in an airplane? I swear that the seconds on my watch never line up when I come back after a long flight.
Watched Wrath of Khan on the airplane. I always get a bit choked up at the end. Shatner choking up when he was giving Spock's eulogy was probably the finest piece of acting he ever did. You really believe that he's choked up about it. I really love the themes running through the movie too. Its to bad that The Search for Spock is such a deconstruction and basically censure of Wrath of Khan or I'd like it more.
Words cannot express the roads in India. I really need to make some kind of video. It amazes me that I don't see the results of car accidents all over the place.
Subservience seems to be ingrained into Indian culture. Everywhere I go there is bowing and scraping. I understand that in a hotel but even out on the street everyone defers to me. Women give up their seats to me. I feel very self-conscious here. I wonder how they ever kicked the British out if this is how they act but I guess the reason is probably because the British didn't want to stay.
Got gifts to bring back for Beth and I got something for myself (because you can't go halfway around the world and not bring something back) now I just need to get something for Rachel...
