In case any of you Scrooges forgot or did not see my post from about three weeks ago, do one of these two things:
1. Read my post from November 23 concerning the Christmas party.
2. Read this exact same post right here that I have conveniently copied and pasted.
------------------------------------------------------
All right, well, it's holiday time you guys. That's right. Parties. Cookies. Egg-nog. Mistle-toe. Fun.
So I'm going to remind you all that there is going to be a party at the Vercher residence (which is Bayou Shadows APT 733) on: SUNDAY DECEMBER 11, 6:30 PM.
You only need to bring yourself (and a significant other, if you have one) and a unisex gift between $5-10 if you would like to participate in the White Elephant gift exchange. If you don't want to play the game, you don't have to bring a gift, simple as that.
We are providing some light snacks and drinks. This won't be burgers and fries or a full course Christmas dinner. I am a musician by trade, after all, and unfortunately have not attained rock-stardom just yet.
That being said, I hope to see a lot of you come out. We won't get to see some of you again for quite some time.
---------------------------------------------------------
All right, now for some updates to that post.
Addendum A - Gift Wrapping (Do it Yourself or Farm it Out)
If you are participating in the White Elephant/Evil Santa/Dastardly Elf-whatever game, make sure you're gift is wrapped, or at least packaged so that we cannot tell what it is. This can be done at your leisure. I don't care, put a sheet over it or tape a bunch of gerbils to it, just MAKE SURE WE CAN'T TELL WHAT IT IS.
Addendum B - Directions
Now, here are the real goods. There are two ways to get to our place. We live at Bayou Shadows Apartment 733. It's all the way in the back of the complex.
First Way
1. The easier of the two ways is to drive down Bertrand headed towards I-10.
2. After you cross the intersection that is Congress and Bertrand, the next street on your left is Rayburn St.
3.There will be a small left turn lane for this street. Make a left on Rayburn and continue all the way down that street.
4 You will come to a very sharp curve, which turns into Wilkie (the curve will swing right)
5. After making that little curve, on your left will be two entrances into the apartment complex, take the second one.
6. Come all the way down till you get to a stop sign. Take a right at the stop sign and you are almost there. Our apartment is on the right nearer the back, just look for the fuzzy big reindeer hanging on the door. Also, my car is a gold Nissan Altima and should be parked out front.
Second Way
1. Drive down Bertrand headed towards I-10.
2. The other way is to make a left turn onto Congress at the intersection of Bertrand and Congress.
3. Drive down Congress until you see Fred's.
4. Right after, and I mean right after Fred's is Westgate Blvd, or some, it's West-Something. Anyway, take
a right on that street. (Across from it is the Green Olive)
5. Just follow that street all the way to the back of the complex. Don't make any turns. Look for our apartment near the very back, with the big fuzzy reindeer. Apartment 733 and a gold Nissan Altima and you're in.
