It's the End of the World as We Know It

and I seem to feel fine, considering.

First I got back from Athens Georgia today, It was COLD the whole time we were there, It was great. Kim finally got to see snow fall as we walked the streets of Atlanta last night after visiting Brenda and Winter and having pizza and beer at an awesome place, Little Five Points, or something like that. What was I doing in Athens and Atlanta you ask; UGA hosted the regional NAQT tournament and we finished a very strong 3rd considering we didn't have as strong a team as we could have... but we were still hot. I finished the day with appx 200 pts consisting of 2 or 3 powers and an unknown number of penalties. We ended up in Atlanta do to an error with the GPS system in the car... It wasn't behaving and shafted the start of our homeward journey. Rob and Ahmad played awesomely managing to take top score and a close position behind. Kim also did exceptional including her own power with "Colonel"

Second, WTF is up with murders happening as I leave places now. First with the Superbowl after I got home the headline news was 3 police killed in Royal Trails... ok nice news to hear, murder suicide around the corner from my house. Then I log onto LJ and find out later that week that the day I left USF a killing happened at Magnolia, yet again just blocks away. Now I am awaiting news from Athens and Atlanta...

Third, I lent Boy my car while I was in GA so he could get some work done on his trucks. First he gets tix to the Bud Shootout so I knew he wouldn't get anything done Saturday, then as I am in South GA eating lunch in Cordele (the best Cracker Barrel I know of time wise) he calls to tell me the race was delayed a day due to rain and that he wouldn't be able to pick me up... frustration... time for him to make it up to me somehow.
