I once had a secret place
No one would ever dare to trace
That fine line between what things are at pace
And things aren't as they advance in space

And to that secret dwelling lay
A life I used to live till day
Broke off with twilight's whispery hour
That day I heard a greater power
Flow from beneath my veins into
That secret place that I once knew
And tucking deep to draw it in
I locked it up- and safely hid

John Lennon had a shortened life
But of this coil, he knew the strife
That very essense bathed and rife
That blossoms when we damn our plight

When I look at life and what it means
My whole human being shakes, careens
What could this digital handset mean
To me when I need skin deep touch- skin needs

I sit and woe a computer's keys
And when work has ended, it seems no one is pleased
We're all wondering where our lives go by as we
String into a world- escaping our kin

And sometimes at night- my soul breaks a plea
A forgetting of words resounds in my scene
The play scripting is poor but the words aren't for me
They're for that part that I hid when souls don't seem to agree

And forgetting a world with no love in it
I rushed to my center and dug deep like granite
What I found while looking through that secret place
I found a secret heart
And in that heart, yet still:
space
