Fuck you too, body

So one of the things my body decided to do to me after having Addie was develop asthma. (Pretty sure it wasn't caused by pregnancy, but considering the other crap that's happened to me post-partum, am not ruling anything out.) Didn't find this out until Jake and I joined a Couch to 5K program and I had an asthma attack at the first run.

The asthma hasn't really gotten better, despite switching inhalers and trying a few other things. And it's only an issue when I run outside -- I'm fine on the treadmill at the Y. Because of it, I've had to drop to the slowest pace group that's actually running and I'm still unable to make it all the way through a training session without hitting the rescue inhaler at least once and walking at least part of the way in addition to the walking intervals. It's getting to where it's no longer fun, in large part because of the whole asthma attack thing. As an added bonus, I'm still carrying a fair chunk of baby weight, despite cross-training, watching what I eat and going to training sessions.

So...do I swallow my pride and drop down to the walkers group or just cut my losses and walk away (no pun intended)? Thoughts?
