Just another professional punch to the gut

 The Tulsa World did another round of layoffs today, along with a massive restructuring. Got to find out about it when I came home already emotionally frayed from a session with my shrink. Thankfully, my dad and deskie_fam were not among the casualties, but I still don't know (a) if my contract will still be honored and if so, (b) who my new editor is, since my previous supervisor is has been moved to another department (and her supervisor has been moved to another project).

I had planned on contacting my editor this morning to see what, if anything, I could do to improve my chances on getting on full-time when the hiring freeze lifted. Guess I'll be holding on off on that for a while...
