I helped put on a party for the launch of La Prairie's new fragrance, silver rain, at the ganesvoort penthouse. We hired models okay with being topless and wearing tiny silver panties and bought lots of dried ice. Sadly, the (then new-fangled) plasma screen tv kept fitzing out during the event, and repeating the line "a disturbance in the atmosphere" which was the fragrance's catch phrase. Millions of dollars was then spent building a spa insired by the frangrance, at the ritz in grad cayman.
