Lost has me so frickin' scared for my favorite character. And that's all I'm gonna say about that.
Speaking of Lost, there's a four-page article about it in this week's Newsweek. I haven't seen mention of it anywhere (although I'm not in any Lost communities, so this could be old news to some of you), so I scanned it for any of you who might be interested.
There are a couple of nice pics of Dom and a few new quotes from him. Here are a few snippets that I found interesting:
* Daniel Dae Kim (Jin), Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) and Jorge Garcia (Hurley) trade stories about their most embarrassing childhood moments - Monaghan's concerns a dirty diaper at the zoo.
* But during NEWSWEEK's exclusive visit to the set during the filming of the finale, you could sense the other side of paradise. "It's been a taxing season to be honest," says Monaghan. "We're not the new, big hit show now. We're not shocking people like we used to. The natural transition is to not be as big as we used to be. It's tough, man."
* "It's tough being involved in a shoot with a large cast," says Monaghan, sitting in his trailer where the floor is piled with FedEx envelopes filled with fan mail. "Just the sheer politics can bring you down. So-and-so is not getting screen time. So-and-so is not showing up on time. So-and-so isn't behaving well on set. That's the toughest thing - coming home and going, Well I behaved OK, but three or four people didn't." Despite mixed emotions, Monaghan brought a camera to the set to take picture of his castmates, like a kid on the last day of school.
Also Dom shares his theory on the mysteries of the island: I had this concept that we'd all pissed off some multimillionaire - I shagged his daughter, Evy stole some money - and he found a way to bring us all on a plane. But how'd he know we'd survive the crash?
