07: [Action] Break on Through (To The Other Side)

Nov 21, 2010 17:14

As he stands there, staring, Dean Winchester wonders why he's never noticed this door before.  It's not anything normal, by any stretch - it's just a huge door; tall, foreboding, made of something that looks like solid oak.  He hasn't touched it yet, he's simply been waiting.  Waiting for it to open, waiting for someone to go in or come out.

It ( Read more... )

"Hm?"

His gaze slides slowly over to the young woman, and he chews on his lip pensively for a moment.

"...dunno, sweetheart. This is a tough nut to crack and I'm kind of a persistent guy." Dean offers her a lazy smirk, sticking his hands in his back pockets.

There are better things to figure out. Like perhaps... I don't know.... finding a way out of "Wonderland". That's an even tougher nut to crack

Dean furrows his brow a little. "...okay, well, you can figure that out, and I'm gonna handle this door. For all we know, this is the way out."

For some reason, he's almost sure of that fact now.

I highly doubt they'll just dangle the way out in front of us. I don't think it's that simple. It's too good to be true, making it suspicious. If you get hurt or killed, don't say I didn't warn you.

He grumbles a little, frowning at her. "What other choice do I have, huh? There is nothing here. This whole goddamn house is one dead end right after the other, just 'cause it likes to fuck with us, and I'm tired of not being able to go anywhere but the rest of the grounds. This is new. This is different. This might get us out."

I've got a theory, but it might be a stretch. It's far more dangerous, though. But, it's also more realistic/

Dean stops glaring at the door, and looks at her seriously.

"...okay, shoot. Tell me." He's desperate but doesn't want it to show.

Has anyone tried finding a way out through the mirror world? I mean... none of us have really been there much unless the mirrors crossed this side. That doesn't happen much. So what if there was a way out through the mirror world?

I'm pretty sure it will be a lot more dangerous on that side, though. I don't know if it's true or not, but I have a feeling that dying there will really result in death. I mean, here if we die, we come back after a while. I have a feeling we wouldn't come back if we died there.

Dean frowns almost automatically. He hadn't considered the mirror-world. Then again, he had yet to see if he could find his mirror-self.

He was almost certain that the guy would be some corporate douchebag.

"...we die five times here, right? Before leaving? Or do we die for real?" Dean looks as though he's considering this. "If the mirror-self dies, do we die?"

Did that mean that this wasn't reality, but the other side was?

God-fucking-damn he was gonna kick the shit outta this Trickster God.

I think that's the limit, yeah. I'm not sure. I don't know anyone who's died past the limit. I'm not sure about our mirror. I'm guessing that's true, but I have yet to meet mine. I kind of don't want to, She'd be way to boring. But, the mirrors are loyal to the Queen and are our complete opposites. I highly doubt they'd be the real selves.
