So I started my crazy South Pacific adventure yesterday (well, technically 2 days ago thanks to the dateline) in HNL (where I actually worked all day...seriously!). It's rather hot and muggy too - which I'm sure is what I can expect every day over the next 2 weeks...
Anyhow, after working most of the day in HNL, I headed over to GUM (but got the bulkhead on the 767) and then a brief stop at the President's Club there before my connecting flight to SPN. I was going to eat something when I got here but was so pooped I just went to bed. Seeing that I slept about 4 hours (thanks Melatonin!) on the flight, I kept waking up and then finally woke up for real around 5am. I putzed around until the gym opened and then went down for an hour of cardio. I then had brekkies and toured the north part of the island - some pretty impressive cliffs! Cliffs that Japanese families threw their kids down (followed by themselves) in fear of the US service men.
Then I headed over to the American Memorial Park near my hotel before checking out and getting some lunch. Going to work my way down the coast of the island this afternoon ending up at the airport around 5ish (it's a rather small island and I managed to see half of it in a morning).
Tomorrow is GUM and then ROR on Monday. After that it's off to 10 days of work in Singapore (see the map below!).
when I get home (in 2 weeks) I have a few days at the house before heading to Omaha and some fun in the South Dakota sun...flying into Nebraska, staying in Iowa and client meetings in South Dakota - livin' the dream!
That leaves me a week and change before we leave for vacation. Crazy how busy things have gotten!
