It is funny how the people you work with become like an extended family. It is very ironic that I have been real supportive of others in finding new jobs, in helping them build their resumes, in lending out my old laptop for school projects, and just in general being supportive of others going back to school. The irony comes in because...not one of these people said...hey congrats on graduating undergrad, with honors, from the honors program...
Not that I expected presents, or a card, or anything...just perhaps a pat on the back and a congrats. I've worked with many of the people for over three years...pretty much my entire undergrad timespan. This isn't like one of the biggest events of my life thus far. Oh and it was cool when I was told that someone could cover my shift for graduation. Um...I sure would hope so.
