I've arrived in Nerdland
And as you'd expect in Nerdland, I have Internet access. Sure it costs me $10 per day, but that's what my expense report is for :)
I can receive email from my work account, or from anything at dasbender.com
As I was checking into my hotel I looked around at the other guests and thought "boy, you sure can tell there's a web-related conference here this week". However, after I thought about all us nerds for a while I realized: I'm in the heart of Silicon Valley. I just rode past the Yahoo offices. Of course I'm surrounded by nerds! Sure, they're all WEALTHY nerds (especially compared to me) but they're (we're) nerds nonetheless.
And the first thing I do in my hotel room is make sure the Internet access works.
