Going back to Nara on Thursday ^.~

I am planning to bury myself in Japanese, so I won't be around much. ^^'

Haha, thanks! =DDD

Oh goodness, don't ask |'D It took... ages. Weeks.

My mother first relented a bit when I told her that my exchange university in Nara wrote me an e-mail asking me in no uncertain terms to be back at the beginning of April for class orientation, that my home university had a meeting where the majority of teachers were in favour of sending exchange students to Kansai area universities back (though not Tokyo area universities).

Today, my doctors told me I'm fine living on my own again and I shouldn't have to worry about the grafted skin falling off or anything, which was the last official 'it's fine' message my mother needed.

The rest, we discussed. Every day. About three to four times. I told her Kansai is deemed safe by authorities, that no significant radiation has been detected in Nara-ken, that I could, should I have to, hop onto the Shinkansen to Kumamoto to stay with friends for a day or two before hopping onto the next flight to Germany from the not-as-busy-as-Kansai-Intl Fukuoka airport, that every other exchange student is still in Nara and not even thinking of leaving.

She's still :S about it, but yeah.

You'd be going back to Tokyo, right? :S Seeing as there has been detected elevated radiation, you wouldn't be able to use the "nothing's happened so far, xxx is deemed safe" card I played. Also, many Tokyo universities have postponed the beginning of spring semester to May (making it a summer semester) and those that haven't are getting... 不安-messages from students. So. :S

Tab water in Tokyo is supposed to be safe again, though; I sincerely hope your family will let you back soon! I've only been there for half a year and already feel like something's been ripped out of my heart; I can only imagine how it must be for you. ._. Let's hope Tepco/the government/whoever will find a way to put a stop to all of this so Japan will be safe again ._________.
