YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY
*flails*
I passed! I AM NO OFFICIALLY A FOURTH GRADER IN KANJI!!!!!!!!
I passed the level 7 Kanken (Kanji kentei) with 177/200, which makes 88,5%. AWESOME! I thought I'd fail due to my Really Awful Handwriting, but it turns out I did OK *0* *is happy*
Now, next Japanese examination is Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 2. I guess I won't be able to repeat my awesome score of... more than 95% on the Level 3 examination, but I hope for something way above 80. 85% would be great. But to achieve that, I still have to study a lot. Hm.
Anyway, Awesome Thing Number 2: I took the placement test for French courses and scored "High Level"! O_O Please note: I haven't really used French since graduating... Granted, the test only examined "filling in the gaps" (= reading and writing) and I absolutely FAIL at oral communication... I selected the French course for students of social studies and humanities. Really looking forward to FINALLY polish my French a bit XD I hope my Institute will pay part of the course fee >.< Will have to ask~ tomorrow.
Not So Awesome Thing: I applied for a job at the university library and they threw me out before the selection process even started because I wasn't "flexible" enough. Bah. And I was looking forward to that job u_u *sighs* I'm currently making between 80 and 100€/month through private lessons to buy books and pay for stuff like language courses and examinations (and ski vacations). The JLPT is 60€ =.= but better than TOEFL, anyway.
I'm really looking forward to next semester *0* There'll be so many beautiful courses like Calligraphy, Korean, Japanese, French, Bungo, LITERATURE (*0*), among others. As for sports, I'll continue with Aikidô (Mondays/Fridays), start Capoeira (Wednesdays) and enter the beginners' tennis course from October 16th to November 27th (Fridays). YAYNESS! =DDDDDDDDDDDD
Hentaigana is awesome, by the way. We had a copy of the original (or a Really Old handwritten copy of the) Genji Monogatari today and were supposed to read it. HILARITY ENSUED. It was fun, anyway, even though reading 700-year-old Japanese texts proved quite difficult (understatement. Read: Everyone kinda failed). BUT THE TEACHER HAS SUCH AN AWESOME HANDWRITING *0* it looks like calligraphy. Seriously. *0* I'm also buying a fudepen. SOMEDAY. It looks so REALLY REALLY beautiful *0*
