{Blog} Updates and Useless American Holidays

Vacation time is up, it seems.

Wednesday was supposed to be my final day off, but I was prisoner to the phone from the moment I woke up to the time I fell asleep. My clients are quite... punctual when it comes to my days off, so they were all calling me to schedule appointments. Occasionally, I get that phone call about mental or emotional breakdowns, meaning I have to sacrifice my lunch break for an emergency appointment... and Alfred, I would appreciate it if you would refrain from sneaking into my office again but... clients come first, I suppose. I think I succeeded in frightening one off when... Natalia showed up after I finished with that bitchy sweet married couple... and she chased me out of the office... Explaining my late arrival to Mr. Serrafin was interesting. I think Natalia showed up... because she was nervous about her trial for her new job at that Vargas Pizzeria. I just hope she didn't... kill anyone.

I came home yesterday around seven-thirty pm... exhausted... only to be greeted by another "romantic" candlelit dinner (courtesy of my little sister) awaiting me on the dining room table.
Needless to say, I skipped dinner and decided to head straight to bed for an early night...
...or so I thought.

I probably woke up at least two or three times during the course of the night because... I was suffering from nightmares again couldn't stay asleep... probably from the caffeine in that nasty cup of coffee I grabbed on the way home. Ah, and Arthur, I'm sorry for calling you at such an early hour... I'll buy you a drink sometime to make up for it, da?

Halloween is coming up... I'm still debating on whether I should try and do something or just... lock myself in my apartment and watch some of those stupid horror film specials they run all night. I do rather enjoy that Candy Corn that comes out in October... Ah, Alfred, perhaps you would like to join me? Assuming that Natalia is out terrorizing someone that night. I do not really feel like... dressing up though. I never really understood how dressing up ties into the dead... assuming that this is what Americans are trying to celebrate during this holiday. Although I read somewhere that Halloween is getting rather popular in the Motherland. I also read that some schools in Moscow are banning Halloween. It saddens me to see the old cultures and traditions of my country giving in to the influences of American holidays... I think if I do dress up, I will most-likely be something cliche... like a vampire. Natalia suggested... a groom, but after seeing that white gown sitting on her bed, I... don't think it is a good idea...
