Zombie Movie Watch List

May 25, 2009 17:14

Okay people,

here is a list of potentially amusing zombie movies I haven't seen yet.

Dance of the Dead

It is prom night in middle America. Tuxes have been rented and dresses have been bought. But when the dead unexpectedly rise from their graves to eat the living, it's up to the geeks, the nerds, the outcast and the losers who couldn't get dates to the dance to save the town from the undead. Unlikely heroes will rise to the challenge as they are forced to put aside their differences and band together to fight for their lives. Armed with bats, sledgehammers, garden tools and guitars, this rag-tag group of high-school teens are in for a prom night they will never forget.

I'm not sure, but I think I saw that one with steppenlaeufer. But maybe I'm just imagining things again. I definitely don't have it, äh *archived*.

Dead & Breakfast

Six friends on a road trip stop for the night at a Bed and Breakfast in the sleepy town of Lovelock. After a night that leaves both the Inn's owner and chef dead, the gang finds themselves under suspicion by the local Sheriff. But that's only the beginning as nearly all of the town's quirky residents become possessed by an evil spirit and pin down the friends inside the B&B. In the vein of Evil Dead II and Dawn of the Dead.

Sounds good and has David Caradine in it. That's always a plus.

Dellamorte Dellamore

This movie is based on a novel of Tiziano Sclavi, and it always reflects the "sclavian philosophy" diffused by the most succesful comics in Italy: Dylan Dog, the detective of the nightmare. There is the duality between love and dead (in Italian "dellamore" means "of love" and "dellamorte" means "of death"), a duality that Dellamorte feels in a really hard way. He is the guardian of the cemetery of Buffalora, a little town in the north of Italy, in which, we don't know why, corpses rise from tombs and Dellamorte has to destroy them. Dellamorte seems not to ask to himself why this happen, he shoots and loves. But at the end he wants to leave Buffalora...

Okay, obviously someone has thought way too hard about this. It's a zombie movie, not Nietzsche. But I do love me some Italian zombie movies and I've heard this one mentioned before. This has potential to be great.

Attack Girls Swim Team vs the Unliving Dead

Do I really need to say more? You can tell by the title alone that it's a Japanese movie and with a name like that a summary is absolutely unnecessary. I'm sold no matter what.

So, how is your DSL connection, steppenlaeufer ? *g* I'll try to get my hands on some of these and then we can have that zombie movie night with the usual suspects. The list gets longer and longer. They haven't even seen the essentials like Flight of the Living Dead or Black Sheep. -_-;

movies, zombies
