Edgeworth sat at the edge of Phoenix's bed, frowning. "You look suspiciously cheerful for being confined to bed rest."

Phoenix just grinned at him. "Well, it's not like I have nothing to be happy about."

His partner's ears went a little red, but it made him smile. "Yes, well. Don't expect me here all the time. I just came by to drop off those videos. Wouldn't want you to be bored as well as injured."

Phoenix leaned forward and grabbed his hand. "But... You're not leaving yet, are you?" Sad eyes.

"..." Miles didn't even pretend to object, though he did pause. "Of course not." He leaned in and pressed his lips to the other's forehead. "I'll stay as long as you need me."

"Forever and ever and ever?"

"Wright..."

Phoenix laughed. "Okay. Until the morning, then."
