"On Thursday May 10th 2007 the Wayne NJ Fire Department responded to 18 Sunny Ridge Rd on reported smoking coming from the home. First due units found heavy smoke pushing from the roof area of a 1sty 45x25 ranch type home. Residents were out of the home prior to FD arrival however 1 family dog died prior to being rescued. Crews put 3 lines into operation for a kitchen fire which slightly extended to the attic. Cause of the fire was undetermined at time of writing."
