Haven't updated in a hot minute.
Let's do a recap. I went home on Dec 15 for Christmas break, which was nothing short of amazing. That Sunday me & John drove into the city to see the Lion King on Broadway... which was absolutely breathtaking and the soundtrack is unbelievable. The costumes are just magnificent and outstanding. Words can't even describe how intense the show is. Later that week I went with my entire family to see Spamalot on Broadway, which is probably the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life. I was crying I was laughing so hard. Ridiculous haha. If you have the chance to see either of those 2 shows, I highly recommend it.
I spent a lot of time with my high school friends, which is something I would like to talk about for a second. I think it's really great that we all still keep in touch as often as we do, even if it is only once or twice a year. I recently realized that there are some people who honestly never speak to anyone from their high schools at all even today, only 3 years out of high school. I think that I am really fortunate to have people in my life from my high school days. We had hilarious drunken nights at the pub, and on the other hand just sat around with each other with our families reminiscing about everything. I love love LOVE it.
And after all of the Christmas fun, I left for Germany. I flew from Newark to Miami, met Caveman there, and then flew to Paris & then Bremen, Germany. Transatlantic flights really are not as bad as I always thought they would be, and I was able to sleep for a good amount of the flight. We arrived in Paris at 745 am, and it was still pitch black outside. The sun doesn't come up until like 8:30!!! We were definitely really confused. So after eating a cheese sandwich on the third flight, we were finally in Germany! Max had flowers for me at the airport, which was so cute :o). And as soon as we got off the plane we sat down and had a fresh Becks. Amazing.
During our 2 week stay, we saw so many beautiful and cultural things that I can't even begin to describe. New Year's in Amsterdam was stunning. People everywhere. Fireworks going off in the air over our heads and in the streets right around us. There was a huge "I amsterdam" sign in the middle of the city that was lit up and everyone was just dancing and laughing and happy. Amsterdam is a gorgeous city, but is actually very dirty. People have no problem just throwing trash everywhere. It's very bizarre. It really is such a sin city though. The red light district has some of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen. But it's very weird because it's like you're walking through regular stores and then all of a sudden the mannequins in the window become live girls. Coffeeshops are amazinggggggg. So chill. Yes we ate cookies and muffins. I think it was the best trip of my life.
Since then... life went back to reality. I'm still working at CaddyShack which is a blast. I think I'm getting golf clubs for my birthday because Jenny & I have been going to the driving range a lot and practicing. I bought a beach cruiser! I'm moving to Neptune Beach in a gorgeous house one block from the ocean! This summer is going to be so intense I'm so excited for it!!! But the most important thing is definitely the new addition in my household.... a new golden retriever puppy named Charlie! :o)
He's the love of my life. Hands down.
