Crypto Exchange ZB.com lost $4.8 million due to hacking

According to the security company PeckShield, the cryptocurrency exchange ZB.com due to hacking, she lost about $4.8 million from her hot wallet



Network data shows that significant amounts of more than 20 types of tokens were transferred from the hot wallet ZB.com to another address, and subsequently all tokens, with the exception of 5, were liquidated.

The tokens were sold on several decentralized exchanges for 2,224 ETH ($3.6 million). The hacker transferred funds to the address: https://etherscan.io/address/0x26446c1658b036a6fa3efb805f8fc538451d3fc2

Meanwhile, in another hacker-controlled wallet, where funds from the wallet were moved for the first time ZB.com , there are still the remaining 5 types of tokens worth about $1 million.

The hacking incident occurred after the exchange suspended the withdrawal of funds by customers for "temporary technical work".
"Due to the sudden failure of some major applications, it still takes time to fix the problem. Currently, the deposit and withdrawal services are suspended. Please do not deposit crypto assets until they are restored to working capacity," the exchange reports

ZB.com previously it was called CHBTC.com and it is one of the oldest cryptocurrency exchanges on the market. It was located in China, but in 2017 the exchange had to move due to the ban on cryptocurrency trading in the country.
