The partnership will allow users of the Wirex wallet to exchange their tokens through the API provided by the 1inch Network.
The Wirex non-custodial wallet platform has entered into a partnership agreement with 1inch Network (1INCH). Wirex will use the aggregator API to exchange tokens. Thanks to the partnership, Wirex wallet users will be able to exchange tokens inside the wallet.
Co-founder of 1inch NetworkSergey Kunts said that the partnership will allow members of the Wirex community to exchange their tokens on several blockchains. Using a search algorithm that finds exchange routes, 1inch will allow Wirex users to find the optimal trading rates for their swaps. Kunz also noted that the partnership is a step that allows the 1inch platform to implement its solutions.
According toPavel Matveev, co-founder of Wirex, 1inch integration is their project's way of giving their users access to decentralized finance (DeFi). Matveev believes that thanks to the functionality available in their wallet, users will be able to save time and money when exchanging their assets.
According to the Wirex team, the partnership with 1inch corresponds to their attempt to enter new blockchains such as Avalanche (AVAX), Polygon (MATIC), BNB Chain (BNB) and Fantom (FTM).
Meanwhile, a DeFi token bridge called Nomad was attacked due to a security vulnerability, resulting in losses of almost $200 million. Some of the attackers claimed that they plan to return the funds to the Nomad team, and communicated via Twitter. The Nomad team reported that they have already notified the authorities and are constantly working to resolve the situation.
As for the topic of decentralization, in July there was a dispute about whether the Solana (SOL) blockchain is decentralized or not. DeFi Unstoppable Finance claimed that Solana is "more decentralized than people think," noting the number of validators and the Nakamoto coefficient. However, some members of the community are not convinced, believing that Solana is the same as traditional systems.
