Azuki, like all other digital collectibles, experienced a significant drop in sales due to the bearish trend in the cryptocurrency and NFT markets in the first half of the year.
Azuki has risen above Moonbirds, CloneX and VeeFriends in the ranking of the largest NFT in terms of sales of all time. The total sales of digital collectibles amounted to about 781.05 million dollars. According to the Be[In]Crypto study, Azuki's sales volume in June amounted to about $12.06 million.

Although this figure may seem small due to Azuki's previous monthly sales, the June volume was higher than that of the most successful NFT project, Axie Infinity, NBA Top Shots, Meebits, Bored Ape Kernel Club (BAKC) and Sandbox.
However, this statistic was lower than that of the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) and Otherside. With that said, the last monthly value fell by 91% compared to the volume of $147.97 million in May.

Why did sales drop?
When you study the decline in the number of unique buyers since June, the drop in sales caused a decrease in the number of transactions: 563 unique buyers and 837 transactions.
Compared to the opening month of NFT in January 2022, there were 9,123 unique buyers and 18,012 transactions. Azuki's sales in the first month of the year amounted to about $219.08 million.
