Star Atlas announces the launch of a DAO and an updated trading platform
The Star Atlas gaming metaverse, based on the Solana blockchain, has announced the launch of the Star Atlas DAO. He will also have special DAOs for in-game factions and regions.
The DAO will use the Star Atlas Management Token (POLIS) so that participants can participate in decision-making processes. The DAO voice escrow model is designed to support community members who have long been convinced of the vision of Star Atlas, the report says. Thus, the company also announced the blocking of POLIS, with which holders will be able to fix their tokens for up to five years.
"The vision of Star Atlas is a DAO of DAOs working at various levels of the game, using various in-network tools to manage in-game assets and treasures, coordinating actions using the public and decentralized nature of the blockchain," said Star Atlas co-founder Michael Wagner. Star Atlas, launchedBy Mackl Wagner andPablo Quirogoi in 2020, is a virtual gaming metaverse set in the year 2620. The world is divided into three factions that fight for resources, territories and political dominance: the MUD territory is controlled by humans, the Ustur sector belongs to intelligent androids, and the SVR region is controlled by a consortium of alien species.
However, the Star Atlas DAO is not the only DAO planned for the Star Atlas metaverse. Each of the three game factions will have its own DAO, which will be used for purposes such as setting and distributing taxes in the respective controlled regions.
"In addition to the Star Atlas DAO, which is open to every POLIS holder, other DAOs require players to have localized commitments to participate in their policies. For example, only USTUR holders will be allowed to participate in Ustur DAO, and only the owners of the earth of a particular star system will have the right to vote for the decisions of this system," the company said in a statement.
Along with DAO, Star Atlas has announced an update to its Galactic Marketplace with new DAO-enabled gaming platforms and a new interface. Now players will also be able to buy and sell assets in direct transactions with other players.
