GameStop NFT overtakes rival product from Coinbase in terms of sales

Launched on July 11, the GameStop NFT marketplace is already enjoying success among collectors. Since the launch of the platform, the trading volume has amounted to more than 5,000 ETH (about $ 7.2 million). A competing product from the Coinbase crypto exchange has earned just 1,913 ETH (about $2.8 million) since its launch on May 4, according to Dune Analytics.

Sales of 1200 ETH fell on the MetaBoy project, which has been the most popular on the GameStop market since its launch. GameStop's NFT market wins more because of the brand's loyal followers than because of the technology of the market itself. In addition, comments about the market on Twitter were mostly positive, and user comments on Twitter about the Coinbase NFT platform were relatively negative.

Despite GameStop's 2.25% commission, while Coinbase continues to offer zero-commission trading to attract new users, success remains on GameStop NFT's side for now. However, both markets are noticeably lagging behind the industry-leading OpenSea platform, which sold $120 million in ETH last week.
