Southland Credit Union will provide Bitcoin services to its customers

Jul 20, 2022 05:20

According to a press release, Southland Credit Union, a billion-dollar institution, is currently the second credit union in Southern California that allows its customers to buy bitcoins through its mobile banking app.

The purchase of bitcoins became possible thanks to a partnership with NYDIG Bitcoin bank, which specializes in providing infrastructure to companies and institutions wishing to provide bitcoin services to their customers. Users will be able to buy, sell and store their bitcoins on the NYDIG storage platform.

However, currently users cannot transfer bitcoins from one wallet to another through the NYDIG service. Users can still sell their bitcoins and withdraw funds if they want. A credit union from Los Alamitos is holding an action. Southland members who register in the service before October 18 will receive $5 in bitcoins for free.
