Cat Spoils Bitcoin Node during Price Collapse with "Dirty Protest"

Bodl_hodler (who wishes to remain anonymous) said that he "started launching Raspberry Pi as an Umbrella node in January 2021" as he wanted to contribute to the overall decentralization of the Bitcoin network. The node has been running smoothly since the connection, confirming Bitcoin blocks on average every 10 minutes according to the difficulty adjustment. However, at the end of May 2022, when the price began to fall below $ 30,000, Bodle "went to the node for the first time in some time, and it could not be found on the network."
To his horror, Bodle discovered that his big black cat Pablo had vomited on the Bitcoin node. The "dirty protest" affected the node's ability to connect to the Internet and work. Bodle explains, "The dirt went through the vents and disconnected the node." Indeed, if a Bitcoin node goes offline, it no longer contributes to network security, potentially compromising the Bitcoin protocol.
Fortunately, it is also very easy to re-enable the node and catch the missing blocks. Bodle said he "turned on the power, plugged it back in, luckily it turned on perfectly and it took a few minutes to re-sync to add all the blocks he missed." The node was immediately brought back to life, confirming transactions and protecting the network.
