Uzbekistan has developed a special provision for the registration of miners
According to the National Agency for Advanced Projects (NAPPA) of Uzbekistan, they have submitted a regulation on registration for miners. It contains a set of regulations stating that cryptocurrency mining can only be carried out by a legal entity using electric energy produced by a solar photovoltaic plant.
Miners will also have the right to connect to the common energy system, but they must have a separate meter, at a strictly defined time. They can be connected during the peak period from 17: 00 to 22:00, according to the established tariffs, taking into account the established allowances of the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as from 22: 00 to 6 am, using a two-fold increasing coefficient.
Mining is subject to registration in the NAPPA, this applies to all companies. The certificate will be valid for only 1 year, you also have to pay for its issuance. The total fee is 6 million soums or $ 550.
And yet, in order to get a permit, miners must still meet a number of requirements. For example, they must have a solar photovoltaic power plant, they need to work only at the address that was specified in the registration documents, constantly provide reports on all operations at the request of regulatory authorities.
To get a certificate, you need to apply to the NAPPA. It is necessary to provide a full package of documents, including data on the legal entity, mining equipment, a list of cryptocurrencies that the company will mine, wallet addresses, etc.
Cryptocurrencies obtained by mining will not be subject to taxation. All other income of miners will be taxed accordingly. It is forbidden to mine anonymous cryptocurrencies. Now there is a public discussion of the submitted document, and it will last until July 9.
After that, after all the changes made, it will be submitted for final confirmation to the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan. The authorities believe that such a document will help the industry to develop successfully.
Whether this is true or not will be clear after the document is adopted and companies start working according to its provisions and requirements. Bureaucracy triumphed in this case as well.
