I know that politics are ephemeral, particularly when it's merely in regard to the next 4-8 years of a nation that's been around for 232 years.
I know that motivations for liking one candidate over another are as arbitrary as preferences for ice cream flavors.
I know that people often get riled up and emotionally reactive when their emotional buttons are pushed (especially those tied to Fear).
I know that judging other folks based on their view of any of the above is about as silly as choosing friends based on hair-color, astrological sign or shoe-size. ... well, maybe not. Those are rarely (dye-jobs aside) a matter of choice.
Even knowing all this, I still have difficulty grokking most of the (granted, few) folks in my monkeysphere who support Clinton.
There.
I took a stand.
Well, really, I took a stand when I voted (early) in the primary for the first time in my life. I took a stand (for 2 hours, in the cold!) when I caucused. I'll take a stand in November when I either vote for Obama or abstain.
But, just so it's out there...
voting,
