105 artists on iTunes. I'm bored with each and everyone of them.
Watched the snowflakes melt on the window of the metro.
Late for German. How unexpected was that?
Went through the translation. I got asked to read out what I had for the first line. Read it out, then got told "You've kept the meaning, but completely changed the wording." Obviously, it was, therefore, wrong.
Read out another of my lines, which ended something like '...they can not be seen as bad, but as droll.'
*Hildegard sits there, looking puzzled*
"Droll? How do you spell that?" Someone told her.
"Ah..." She hadn't got a clue what it meant. John then gave me a 'Well done you - you've got one over on her. Go you' kinda look. *smug*
Hildegard: "I had comical or droll." You obviously didn't, if you hadn't got a clue what it meant, couldn't spell it, and can't pronounce it properly.
She did seem really impressed by one of my sentences. I even got a "Yeah, that's really good." Shame it was a really basic sentence.
Got the book we have to read.
It took us an hour to go through the text on the sleeve, and the titles of the chapters. 'Kakerlaken' = very funny word.
We've each been given a chapter to read. I got Honneckers kandierter Apfel. Sounds great.
One of the titles had 'Prazlauer Berg' in it. Took me a while to work out why I knew what that was.
Every book/story we read is to do with East Germany. No fiction. No Bayern/anywhere else in Germany. Always the Cold War. It's interesting enough, but a bit of variety would be nice.
Annoying girl kept looking at me. In fairness, she was sitting opposite me, but still...
End of the lesson - "What's your name?"
"Jemma."
"Jemma...right..." Everything she says ends in "...right..."
"Have you lived in Germany, or..?" I love how everyone notices how much German I know, when the irony of it is, that it's the only subject I'm failing *notthatIkeepmentioningthisoraminanywaybotheredbyit*
I love this jumper.
*shall move in permanently*
My finger still hurts.
*becoming more convinced it's broken*
Better get reading.
