Ashes, ashes, we all fall down.

I have a very good friend, I realised yesterday.
Well, of course I already KNEW that he was a very good friend, but... there sure is something very special about him and I come to realise it everytime we get to talk.

There are few people with whom you can discuss everything from politics to feelings. Usually, there is always one place you can't go. Not here, though. Jesus was mentioned, as was the UN and throwing up on one's shoes. He told me the most epic tales about drunk friends ending up in the wrong sleeping bags and what-not.
I also realised the extent to which he actually sees and knows things. There are few people on this globe who are as empathic and understanding.

Eight hours well spent!

There are so many things that frighten me about this world and where it's going. It feels good that there are other people out there who are equally thoughtful.

Otherwise, this day is sadly gloomy, as volcanic ash from Iceland keeps falling on our heads... Or more likely it's snow, but that's even more depressing, so I'm deciding that it's ashes.

religion, friends, politics, ashes ashes
